Pertemps Scotland are currently recruiting experienced Domestic Assistants to work on an ad hoc basis in various care settings across Edinburgh.
The successful applicants will be responsible for ensuring that areas such as residents rooms, communal areas such as lounges, the dining area, kitchens, bathrooms and hallways etc. are kept clean, tidy and hygienic.
Applicants must have previous cleaning experience and be passionate about delivering the highest standards of cleanliness.
The successful candidates will also show a warm, friendly, caring and professional approach to service users and colleagues, as they will be working as a fully integrated member of the care team.
Duties will include:
Vacuuming of carpets
Sweeping, mopping and buffing floors
Toilet and bathroom cleaning
Carpet cleaning as and when required
Laundering linen and personal clothing to a high standard
Checking cleaning stock inventory levels and reporting on this to the line manager as appropriate
A PVG certificate is essential for all candidates working in a care environment and will be processed at a cost of £59, or updated at a cost of £18, at time of registration with Pertemps.
COSHH and Food Hygiene certificates are also desirable but not essential.
