Our client who is based within a highly regarded public sector organization, have a temporary role for a Smart & Integrated Ticketing Project Manager. This role attracts a daily rate of £400, and is based in Glasgow City Centre. The hours of work are Mon - Fri, 37 hours per week.
This role is based in Glasgow , however, may be required to attend other locations from time to time.
Applicants must have a current Basic Disclosure Scotland, Certificate dated within the last 12 months.
The post leads on the project delivery aspects of the forward thinking smart and integrated ticketing and payment programme. The post is an excellent opportunity to work within an absorbing programme/ project environment across a dynamic and challenging multi-modal, multi-operator transport setting. The role is at the forefront of smart travel services in Scotland, where successful outcomes will deliver enhanced ease of use, payment options and other benefits to people using public transport in Scotland.
" Provision of sound project governance and assurance regarding smart project delivery, use of key project management documentation including: project initiation documents, project plans, risk and mitigation logs and on-going monitoring and evaluation
" Effective internal and external stakeholder management
" Key projects to be delivered include: Feasibility and foundations and implementation lead for various public transport operator pilots, in line with Programme for government expectations
" Review and implementation of mobile technology based ticketing solutions
" Supporting other organizations such as Local Authorities to implement smart transport ticketing solutions using the National Entitlement Card
" Coordinate and liaise with advisors as well as internal cross team colleagues to ensure that project activity is coordinated and communicated appropriately
" Prepare routine reports for internal project management and other ad hoc reports
" Contribute to internal and external communications
" Experience in successfully delivering complex and challenging smart projects forming part of a wider programme.
" Hold a formal project management qualification and having actively used this in project delivery.
" Have a technical understanding of smart ticketing
" Experience in effectively managing a range of internal and external stakeholders across multiple projects.
" Excellent written and oral communication skills
" Possess sound analytical skills
" Experience in the development and implementation of smart ticketing systems and products,
" A practical working knowledge of Integrated Transport Smartcard Organization (ITSO) and payment infrastructure.
