Our client, a highly respected Public Sector establishment, based in Glasgow City centre, requires a PA/Administrator on a temporary basis for up to six months. The salary for the position is £12.63 per hour, working Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.
A minimum Basic Disclosure Scotland certificate issued within the last 3 months is a requirement of the role.
Main Duties:- Ensuring effective day to day management of the Head of Environment and Sustainability's diary, inbox, mail and calls
- Maintaining a prioritised actions list for Head of E&S to support effective business delivery
- Prioritising and coordinating appointments and meetings ensuring timely commissioning, and provision of all relevant papers
- Organising a range of meetings between Transport Scotland, stakeholders and consultants, distributing meeting notifications and agendas, preparation and circulation of associated papers
- Provision of secretariat functions for meetings
- Provision of administrative support for the Air Quality Branch and wider management team as required
- Following Scottish Government information management principles by storing documents, and records of work-related activities on our corporate filing system (eRDM)
- Collating papers and ensuring support for Ministerial and Chief Executive correspondence, Parliamentary Questions and FOI requests, to ensure Head of Operations actions them before deadline
- Processing invoices for the team
Key Skills and Attributes:- Relevant experience gained in a similar role ideally within the public sector
- Experience in a PA/Senior administrator role
- Excellent Interpersonal and both written and verbal Communication skills

- Excellent IT skills and familiarity with MS Office packages
