Main Purpose of Job
The On Site Transport Co-ordinator's function is to build and maintain relationships with our client and drivers, recruitment of Class 1 & 2 drivers for sole supply to 1 existing client, managing WTD, ensuring compliance to the highest level.
-Dealing with people at all levels in a patient and professional manner.
-Organising and managing time effectively
-Recruiting and matching HGV staff for positions available and assessing suitability for the role with Gist
-Conducting the necessary checks, in line with industry standards, to ensure suitability to role.
-Booking drivers in for work based on supply given by the client
-Effective use of reports as communication tools
-Problem solving to the benefit of all parties.
Full training will be given however experience and knowledge of Class 1 & 2 WTD is a must. Also previous experience of recruiting & coordinating Class 1 & 2 drivers would be an advantage.
Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:30 with flexibility during peak periods
