Opportunity is around the corner as Pertemps are working in partnership with a market leading manufacturing business based in Lincolnshire, recruiting for a dynamic, driven Business Development Executive to take over key accounts and to develop new business for their unique specialised product base.
The successful candidate will have proven sales experience in the plastics sector (Polymer / Thermoplastic) and be able to travel across the UK & Europe as required.
Our client is a progressive established company at the leading edge of technical innovation in plastic compounding. Specialising in the supply of thermoplastic compounds, with a lower carbon footprint based upon prime and/or recycled feedstock, the Company has a reputation as one of the most respected suppliers of high quality materials to the Polymer industry.
The ideal candidate will already be working within the plastic industry and with good working knowledge of polymers and processes. Business development and sales experience is required.
Your responsibilities as a Business Development Executive will be:
Management and development of allocated existing accounts plus identification of new potential customers in a pro-active professional manner
Ensure sales from allocated new and potential customers achieve target contribution and sales tonnage levels
Carry out sales of material on a spot lot basis as and when such material is available for sale
To identify and research appropriate new markets/customers for our client
To promote our clients technical capabilities pushing the company at all times as a professional solution provider and technical compounder
To liaise as required with customers on credit limits and financial matters
To collate market information regarding both UK and global plastic industry activity
To complete visit reports and any follow up actions required in a timely manner and keep the customer informed/updated on progression of enquiry activities
To meet agreed targets for sales visit and other activities
To maintain an overview of production, ie machine capacity that needs filling, feedstock issues, etc
Knowledge and Skills:
Organised with ability to plan time effectively
Confident negotiator with ability to listen and understand the balance of price performance requirements required by the customer
Proven track record of identifying new/existing customer opportunities
Project management on long term sales opportunities
Ability to build, maintain and develop customer/supplier relationships
Ability to discuss and deliver technical solutions to customers
Ability and experience in carrying out cost analysis and quote generation
Languages - French/German/Spanish - desirable
