The role will be responsible for the strategic management and ownership of a range of Construction Procurement projects
You will assist the Category Manager in delivery of Category Strategies, identifying future commercial opportunities.
The Senior Buyer is accountable for delivery of strategic sourcing events within their portfolio, engaging with and building strong working relationships with key stakeholders from across the business and supporting the development of Category Strategies
Responsible for managing multiple contracts to ensure the successful delivery of contracted activities.
Strategic sourcing capability
Experience working with NEC, FIDIC, LOGIC or IChemE Contracts
Ability to influence others from peer group to senior management
Ability to and proven track record of managing multiple projects and consistently delivering outstanding results
Ability to prepare and lead negotiations
Highly effective management of suppliers;
Proficient in stakeholder management and communications;
Experience using analytical tools and techniques;
Sound negotiation and presentation skills;
Appreciation of category management.
