Arabic speaking Welfare Officer
This role is vital in ensuring the welfare and wellbeing of students while studying in the Torbay area.
This is a full-time summer position that has come about due to the increased levels of Arabic students attending our language courses in the summer. Therefore, this role is to ensure that these students, who often have limited communication skills, are able to communicate their difficulties, any problems and get help in resolving them to ensure an enjoyable experience. Therefore this role is built to bridge the language gap between the Arabic speaking community (parents, group leaders and students) to the English speaking school and host families.
Due to the nature of this role working on problem solving and working with minors a particularly sensitive nature to communication and interpersonal skills is a MUST along with the ability to maintain a calm presence when under pressure.
Computer skills are necessary.
A DBS check will be carried out for suitability for working with minors.
