My client based in Thetford is seeking a Payroll Manager/Administrator

The job holder will work as part of a team to service the needs of clients in administering their financial affairs.

Location: Thetford until June 2019 (moving to Bury St Edmunds in June 2019)

Salary: £25-£27,000

Payroll experience - Sage preferably, role involves working with 50+ small employers, and c. 250 carers paid on a monthly basis.
Working knowledge of auto enrolment, in relation to payroll impact and processing.
Methodical and flexible approach to work with excellent attention to detail.
IT literate, in particular good working knowledge of Excel and Word
Numerate. Experience in administering accounts, eg bank reconciliation, invoice processing, financial statements, preparation of invoices.
Common sense approach to work practical and logical in decision making.
Problem solving skills and the ability to be proactive in dealing with requests and queries, working to strict deadlines.

Duties include:
To assist the Support Team Manager in providing a first class service to Clients in the administration and execution of their day to day financial affairs.
To manage the monthly payroll duties, in accordance with current legislative requirements for all Clients where a payroll is in operation, under supervision and following training where necessary. This involves handling all the payroll queries within the team.
The payroll element to this role will run in cycles, and it is not expected to occupy 100% of the time, so other finance-related tasks can be performed as time allows, these include (but are not limited to):
Dealing with the day-to-day administration of client finances on behalf of the team e.g., the prompt payment of invoices and the reconciliation of bank statements etc.
Completing annual accounts and ensuring that these are submitted within set timescales (training will be given)
Requesting relevant information from third parties as required in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date file maintenance in respect of all client files in accordance with the requirements of the firm and its regulatory bodies.
Correctly document and time record all work undertaken, including letters and all client communications.
Maintain accurate records of clients' finances and balancing of all accounts on a monthly basis
Deal with internal and external calls in the course of undertaking the role.
