National Grid Smart are recruiting for Customer Service Advisors to join their growing team based at their offices in Solihull. The role of a Customer Service Advisor involves contacting customers with the aim to book appointments to replace their current meter to a new Smart Meter. Your main responsibilities will involve:
o Making outbound calls to customers
o Achieving all of the required minimum sales targets and KPI's as set by your Manager.
o Overcoming all customer objections.
o Ability to explain the benefits of the exchange
o Having the ability to ask the correct questions in terms of establishing the customers' current circumstances and needs.
o Use all information gathered to find the right product that best fits the customers' needs.
o Ability to build excellent rapport with the customer to establish needs and secure the transfer to a Smart Meter.
o Communicating clearly and professionally to ensure the customer fully understands the process.
o The ability to work as part of a team supporting colleagues were necessary.

What we look for
We are looking for customer service focused individuals who are able to use their existing knowledge and initiative to assist our customers and keep our Smart Metering business driving forward.
Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent customer service skills and have previous experience of working in a customer facing environment (either over the phone or face to face). They need to be professional, have an excellent telephone manner along with strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly around understanding the customer's needs, so a strong empathetic approach is needed.
Working hours are between 7.45am and 8pm Monday to Friday with weekend works included so staff members will need to be fully flexible in regards to the shifts that they work.
Previous customer service experience is essential, Outbound call experience and or Smart Meter / utility experience would be advantageous but not essential.
Self-motivation, enthusiasm and drive is a must.
