A local Authority are looking for a Finance professional to their team to help provide support during the end of the financial year.
The post holder will need to have a NVQ Level 4 qualification or equivalent in a Finance related subject or at least 3 years experience within a Finance environment.
The ideal candidate will require fast and accurate IT skills, the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, strong communication skills and be able to hit the ground running with minimum supervision.
Main tasks consist of the following:
Provide routine support to individual cost centre managers
Undertake budget monitoring on both expenditure and income
Undertake the delivery of financial reconciliations
Be able to provide guidance in the practical application of standing orders
Handle enquires from internal and external audit
The postholder would be expected to to respond to unexpected problems and to be able to apply initiative to solve them.
Full time position: 37 Hours per week.
Monday - Thursday: 09:00 - 17:30
Friday: 09:00 - 17:00
Temporary position expected to last until the end of May 2018.
