Proactive Asset Management Project Manager required for one of the largest Utility companies. They recognise that investments in both employee development and working environment drive them forward as a modern, innovative and ultimately industry leading operation Role Objectives: • To own and drive the delivery of identified Proactive Asset Management projects within the Proactive Asset Management (PAM) Programme. • Ensuring projects are accurately defined and managed in order to guarantee successful delivery of solutions and planned for benefits. • Building strong links with Production, Chief Engineer, Technology, Data and related teams to ensure best practice is developed and implemented. Key Accountabilities: In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will be able to: • Be directly accountable for the delivery of solutions, business change and benefits associated with the PAM projects. • To ensure objectives and goals are met in-line with stated plans and budget and funding considerations. • Develop and maintain the project approaches and plans, in conjunction with the PAM Programme team. • Undertake detailed analysis when required, using information supplied from different disciplines and demonstrate this to produce informed recommendations and action plans. • Ensure that project benefits are correctly identified and monitored and a framework is in place to enable sustainability of change. • Undertake detailed change impact and business readiness assessments for business areas impacted by technological and business change and successfully resolve issues identified. • Build collaborative relationships with Production, Chief Engineer, Technology and related teams to facilitate and manage the successful implementation of the project and activities. • Proactively seek out future opportunities or problems to solve and act with pace to deliver solutions. • Monitor, control and report on the status and progress of projects to PAM Programme leadership and all their stakeholders. • Effectively manage stakeholders to facilitate and manage successful project delivery and business change to ensure outcomes are embedded and sustained. • Monitor changes and dependencies within and across related projects and the overall programme to assess the impact on the project. • Act as a project representative to the PAM Programme to ensure consistency with the overall programme. • Support and up-skill colleagues within the team and from other functions, providing regular feedback and role modelling safer, better, faster (SBF) behavioural expectations. • Ensure that roles are clear and that team members are adhering to the required standards and disciplines (planning, documenting, reviewing, approving of deliverables etc.). • Travel and work at various sites/ locations across the company Region, attending local communication cells where required and supporting local teams in implementing the project's deliverables, including being flexible with working hours. • Confidently facilitate workshops involving staff at any level. Experience: In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have: • Experience of leading, directing and managing business change projects across the full life cycle. • Experience in work and asset management subject matters within the water/ utilities industry. • Experience of leading, directing and managing business-led projects incorporating the implementation of smart technologies and their components across the full life cycle, including but not limited to: sensors, actuators, IoT communications and connectivity solutions, process monitors, and data management solutions • Experience of business and organisation design, including business capability framework definitions and their implementation. • Experience in all stages of project and solution delivery, including: opportunity evaluation, feasibility and justification, detailed planning, design/ trials, build and test, roll out and transition and project closure. • Experience of working with stakeholders from different teams and environments. • Experience of influencing leaders and teams and gaining commitment to change and the business readiness activities to make a project successful. • Experience of benefit identification, definition and delivery planning. • Experience of coaching, training and giving feedback. • Experience of project method selection and tailoring to meet project needs. • Experience of quality assurance frameworks and their application. • Experience of project management including planning, managing, controlling and delivering business improvement initiatives successfully. Qualifications: Essential • Project Management qualification. • Enterprise asset management subject matter knowledge and its application in the water/ utilities sector. • Smart technology subject matter knowledge and its application in the water/ utilities sector. • Business analysis skills. • Good IT skills. • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English. • Driving licence.
