Analyst / Administrator - Role Objective

We are looking for a highly skilled, passionate and self-starting individual who has the ability to manage stakeholders at a more senior level whilst maintaining superb attention to detail. The role will be responsible for continuously driving tangible improvement, meet company targets and external commitments. The individual will be expected to take responsibility for managing the assurance process for some of our performance measures, identifying and developing process improvement opportunities and managing through to implementation

The successful applicant will be highly skilled analytically as well as having very technical experience, and will be able to bring this together with the ability to manage key stakeholders in order to drive and deliver measurable improvement

The role holder will be expected to manage their own workload and multiple priorities at any one time and be skilled at managing expectations at all levels. You will also be presenting ideas, updates and proposals to senior stakeholders to gain support and drive delivery of new plans

We are seeking a driven individual who can very quickly build a credible reputation and work with our operational teams, strategic contract partners and customer teams at all levels though on-going collaboration

Analyst / Administrator - Key Accountabilities

  • Owning and driving improvement in assurance and reporting processes in line with our external commitments and internal procedures
  • Responsible for tracking the benefits for assurance improvement initiatives and taking accountability for escalating and driving decisions where progress is at risk
  • Managing the internal and external assurance requirements for key water measures ensuring we can demonstrate the required levels of accuracy and data quality
  • Reporting accurate performance on a number Water measures, taking accountability for highlighting assurance concerns and escalating issues quickly to ensure the best possible outcomes for our customers and regulators
  • Work with Performance teams to provide excellent level of insight into Water performance data in order to identify opportunities & risks
  • Apply technical knowledge and skills to build credibility, ensure the right priorities are focused on and manage expectations outside of the team
Analyst / Administrator- Experience

  • A track record of stakeholder engagement / management, demonstrating excellence in building relationships, gaining credibility and ongoing stakeholder management at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to quickly understand processes and identify interdependencies
  • Great knowledge/experience of analytical and problem solving skills – ability to analyse data, think flexibly, identify issues and develop improvement options
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to listen effectively
  • A ‘Right First Time' attitude
  • Creative thinking skills allowing you to take ideas and translate into practice with an infectious drive, passion and energy to take colleagues on the journey with you
  • Strong technical knowledge of water infrastructure processes, operational environments and working in a regulated environment would be beneficial
  • Experience of improvement or project management, having delivered process improvement
  • Experience of assurance management and reporting processes
  • The ability to identify external best practice, translate and implement into an organisation
Analyst / Administrator - Capabilities

  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills & exceptional attention to detail
  • Highly organised and diligent
  • The ability to work at pace and under pressure while remaining calm and self-controlled
  • To be able to articulate and clearly frame recommendations in order to successfully influence to ensure delivery of improvements
  • Strong technical and operational knowledge with an excellent understanding of process improvement
  • Must be credible and confident to challenge constructively at all levels to achieve the right outcome
  • Superb networking skills
  • An understanding and empathy for the challenges for front line operations
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision, with the ability to understand overall objectives to ensure the right work is prioritised
  • The ability to plan and prioritise workload
  • Good problem solving and improvement implementation skills

Educated to degree level and/or significant relevant experience
Desirable – any relevant technical qualifications e.g. BTEC, City & Guilds

Additional Information

This is a temporary contract to start as soon as possible until the 01 June 2018
The hourly rate on this role is £9.08 per hour
