Support Officer

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Support Officer to work within the Public Sector based in Hammersmith, London on a temporary contract to start as soon as possible until May 2019

The purpose of the role is to provide general support to the Operational & Engineering and Planned & Capital teams to ensure a high quality service is delivered to customers

In your role as a Support Officer, your responsibilities will include

• Raising orders and variations as requesting ensuring that they are correctly coded, priced and forwarded over to the contractor
• Liaise with the contractors, housing management and other colleagues where necessary
• Collate information from managers to comply with statutory leaseholder consultation requirements
• Drafting letters and notify tenants of works that are due to be placed on hold
• Arrange for contractors identity cards and or parking permits where required

Qualifications:-

• It is essential that you have a good level of education including English and Maths

Knowledge & Experience:

• Knowledge of issues involved in managing maintenance and / or planned contracts in a social housing environment
• Knowledge of statutory requirements relating to leaseholder consultation requirements
• Experience of collating and submitting statistical and budget information
• Experience of document management, data entry and maintaining electronic and manual files / records / databases
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload accordingly
• Good communication skills both verbal and non-verbal
• Experience of dealing effectively with customer enquiries and solving problems
• Good IT skills and ability to use Microsoft Office and other IT packages

Desirable

• Knowledge and understanding of issues affecting repairs and maintenance in a social housing environment
• Knowledge of social housing tendering and contract documentation

Additional Information

• The role of Support Officer is a temporary role to start in as soon as possible until May 2019
• The hourly rate on the role is £25.00
• This is a full time role Monday – Friday, 36.00 hours per week
