JOB TITLE: Healthcare Litigation Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: 3-4 Years
The main function of role is: to assist senior Fee Earners and Partners in the effective conduct of cases and to progress cases, under supervision, to an effective and satisfactory conclusion. To take responsibility for your own caseload, running those cases and assisting on more complex, high value deals. Detailed day to day involvement with case management, claims and regulatory, including significant contact with insurer and insured clients (medical practitioners and a range of healthcare entities), Counsel, expert witnesses, the courts and other parties in a very busy and dynamic team. The role presents significant opportunities for training, growth and development in a unique team at the forefront of healthcare litigation which has enjoyed significant success and acts for a wide range of clients.
Ideally, the firm is looking for someone in the 3-4 year PQE bracket with solid experience of a range of healthcare litigation matters, including claims and regulatory for defendants. Solicitors who have experience of acting for insurers would be preferred, but defence organisation or NHSLA experience would also be considered. The role will involve working in a team environment advising insurers and insureds in the complex field of healthcare litigation, including in relation to claims, inquests, regulatory, disciplinary judicial reviews and some criminal work.
