PMO Analyst – Manchester - £180-£200 per day – 6 months (2 year programme)

Recruiting a contract PMO Analyst to join a small project team to deliver and excellent quality management information to enable clear decision making in the management of a large Programme.

PMO Analyst will play a key part in the creation of a number of fundamental program processes and subsequently driving out key metrics for measuring success and earned value, and information for decision making.

You will be responsible for:

• Project Resourcing

• Project Planning

• Risks and Issues

• Project Assurance

• Project Governance

• Acting as a central point of contact for all Programme PMO areas

• Support PMO Lead

To apply you should possess the following skills and experience:

• An understanding of best practice PMO and Program processes

• Knowledge of standard Risk Identification Techniques essential

• Knowledge of Microsoft Project Plan essential

• Knowledge of SharePoint advantageous

• An awareness of different methodologies such as Prince2 and Agile

• An awareness of a typical Project/Software Delivery Lifecycle

• Microsoft products essential, project disciplines and processes essential

• Good knowledge of offering process and management support, preferably in a technical environment

• P30 – Portfolio, Programme and Project Management Offices


• A good level of general qualifications

Skills required:

• Ability to distill data and detail to meaningful summaries and metrics

• Good communication skills, that are unmistakable clear in both written and verbal with the ability to structure information and marshal evidence

• Adept at negotiating especially when introducing changes to ways of working.

• Consistently tactful when dealing with stakeholders – which include BSG and third party staff

• Comfortable with being flexible, recognising that focus from one activity to another may require attention at short notice

• Able to manage their time especially when under pressure, through prioritisation and management of expectations

• Numerate, able to keep accessible and easy to understand records

• Excellent Team Player

• Leadership skills

• A self-starter, confident in your own abilities to delivery high quality output

• Ability to resolve problems and adapt to change

• Maintain constructive links with other teams and work collaboratively to deliver targets

• Receive feedback and learn from mistakes for continuous self-development

• Proven track record in creating and running a resource management process

• Proven track record in planning and using MS Project effectively

• Proven track record in risk identification and profile techniques

• Experienced in working in a project or programme environment

• Able to adapt to changes in programme approach
