We are recruiting for a focussed, target driven individual to join a busy team, working within a Sterile Services environment.
You will be responsible for the cleaning, inspection, assembly and packing of sterile equipment for hospital and community settings. Due to the nature of the equipment you will be working with, excellent hygiene, attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
You main responsibilities will be the following:
" To ensure effective preparation of sterile consumables by the process of cleaning, inspection assembly and packing within predefined quality standards
" To rigorously check, wash, lay up and pack sets of theatre instruments
" To undertake daily testing of washers/ disinfectors and related equipment
" Assembling instruments and checking for safety and correct function in accordance with departmental procedures, specifications and best practice.
" Monitor and operate within required health and safety guidelines
The hours of work will be based on a rotating shift; these shifts will be 06.15-14.15, 14.00-22.00. A pay uplift for unsociable hours will come into effect for any hours over 20.00 hours. The successful candidate will also be expected to work some weekends on a rota basis.
You will receive 27 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidays. There is also a pay scale, meaning you will be entitled to pay increases.
This is a permanent role, with excellent training opportunities as well as progression within the company.
