Group Financial Accountant

Salary: £35,000-£40,000

Hours: Full Time

Reports to: Director

This is a very successful organisation, established over 20 years ago and they continue to go from strength to strength. The Company Director is looking for an experienced Group Accountant who will take full ownership of the financial reporting, providing insightful management information and allowing the senior management team to drive the business forward and support continued growth both organically and through acquisition.

Group Accountant Role Purpose

To produce timely, accurate financial management information for the consolidated Group of companies. Consolidation of budgets and forecasts, provide and plan financial information for the senior management teams in support of their remit, perform key reconciliations, carry out month end and year end processes and statutory accounts preparation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

 Production of the month-end management accounts pack including:

• profit & loss,

• variance and trend analysis

• Cash flow analysis and forecasting

• Extracting MI from the CRM system, collate sales statistics and pricing analysis

• Accruals & prepayments

• Account reconciliation

• Bank reconciliation

• Credit control

• General ledger management

• Overseeing a payroll clerk and an accounts clerk, providing coaching and developmental mentoring.

• Maintenance of fixed asset register

• Wages reconciliation

• Balance sheet reconciliations

• Calculate EBITDA and performance related ratios

• All accounting operations – Sales & Purchase ledger, Billing and Payroll

• Business analysis on specific areas when required including routing matters and new projects as directed

 Yearend including:

• Assist with preparation of year end accounts

• Liaising with auditors when required

• Prepare annual statutory accounts in line with management accounts

• Corporation tax computations

• Cash flow statements

• Strategic reports

• Group financial forecasts / budgets

• Cost budgeting
