Reach Forklift Truck Drivers are required for a busy logistics warehouse in Milton Keynes. Immediate start with the opportunity to obtain a permanent position. The FLT Drivers are vital in ensuring that all stock is safely loaded and stored in the appropriate bays with corresponding paperwork completed.
The shift available is Monday to Friday 14.00-22.00. When overtime is called the late shift starts at 12 noon. The occasional Saturday will be requested. Overtime rates are paid once 40 hours have been worked in a week with the week running Sunday to Saturday.
You will be working as part of a friendly team on the site in Tilbrook, Milton Keynes as a Reach Forklift Truck Driver. The position pays £9.20 per hour. Monthly Performance Bonuses are paid to all employees after the initial three month probation period. The Performance Bonus is dependent on there being no damage caused to stock that month by any driver. There is also a Monthly Late Shift Bonus paid to the 2pm-10pm shift if all conditions are met.
Your FLT Certificate must be ITSSAR, RTITB or AITT accredited, showing the (refresher) training as completed within the last three years. You must be confident and competent to drive MHE with a load which can be heavy, tall, wide and sometimes has opened returned packaging. The stock can be worth £18k per pallet. Some basic computer work is involved to log the products. Please be aware that the job does involve manual work too.
The company operate under strict insurance regulations due to the value, size and weight of the product and any FLT drivers employed must have a minimum of 6 months recent FLT Reach driving experience.
You will be responsible for:
" MHE driving
" Loading and unloading high-value goods
" Manual handling, as dictated by the warehouse requirements
" Working safely in a busy warehouse and logistics environment
" Stacking the pallets in a safe and organised manner
" Completing paperwork and checking stock delivered
" Maintaining high levels of Health and Safety standards
" Achieving the targets and job standards set out by the Shift Manager
" Performing any reasonable request by the Shift Manager
You will require:
" An FLT Reach licence attained within the last three years
" Ability to drive MHE and perform manual handling safely
" Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
" Ability to work under pressure
" Ability to work as part of the team
" Good attention to detail
The site has ample bike and car parking on a secure site and has easy access to both bus routes and the train station.
