Maintenance Engineer - £28-32K per Annum Rotating 6-2, 2-10 shift, Monday-Friday

Due to continued growth, my client who is an established business for over 50 years are looking for a skilled maintenance engineer to join their busy team working between Tewkesbury and Ross-on-Wye
This is an ideal opportunity for a self-motivated maintenance engineer to join a highly skilled team who utilise operational excellence and continuous improvement activities to improve equipment reliability and ensure minimal equipment downtime.
In this role you will be required to respond to and diagnose equipment breakdowns on a variety of machines including hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, electrical/motors, sensors, generators, pumps, actuators, filtration, spraying, and lifting devices.
You will be offered a starting salary of 28k-30k and will work on a 2-shift rotating system 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm. (daily overtime available)

** You will be required to work between 2 sites (Tewkesbury & Ross-on-Wye). 
Duties of the Maintenance Engineer include:

  • Respond to and diagnose equipment breakdowns
  • Resolve facility issues and action repairs
  • Control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment
  • Comply to all current and future health and safety legislation
  • Carry out/participate in root cause analysis as required
  • Ensure PM records are maintained and updated
  • Work with site operations management as required to help new and develop, existing processes/equipment
Qualifications and experience requirements include:
  • Demonstrate Electrical and mechanical competence through certification (City and Guilds Level 3 (17th edition) Minimum)
  • Previous experience of a preventative maintenance background
  • Proven experience of supporting a plant within a process or production environment
  • Used to working alone in a breakdown environment
  • Vac form experience and a forklift licence would be advantageous
Preferred Skills
  • Flexibility essential
  • Understanding of RA’s, SSOW & COSHH
  • Knowledge of 3 phase power systems
  • Experience of compressed air and vacuum systems
  • Extrusion knowledge, particularly Welex
  • Ability to read and understand schematics
  • Motor and gearbox awareness
  • PC literate
  • Full UK Driving Licence
