Customer Service Advisor's. Pertemps are urgently recruiting for 10 full time Customer Service staff to work for the UK’s largest distributor of post and packages, based in Plymstock.
The role involves handling customer queries & complaints, working in a friendly and relaxed call centre environment . Your job will be to advise customers on the status of the delivery of items, and what to do if an item is lost or damaged or delayed.
You will receive excellent training on the products and services and feel confident to provide general advice and guidance to customers. You will be assigned to work as part of a small team, with excellent supervisory support for complex queries.
You’ll be measured in the role to ensure that exceptional levels of customer service are maintained and that a first class customer experience is provided to customers. You will be given constructive feedback and advice from your supervisor to build your knowledge and ensure that you display a professional image and have high standards when on and off the phone.
You’ll be working on a shift pattern as follows:
- Full time 35 hours per week
- 4 x midweek days plus a routine Saturday 8-1pm will form the basis of the standard shift pattern
- Flexible start times throughout the week may be required
- You need to be available between 8am-6pm Mon- Sat with one rotational day off in the week
The pay rate starts at £8.50 per hour for the initial 3 month assignment term, you’ll join our holiday pay scheme and have access to the excellent on site canteen. Many of the Pertemps workers enjoy the working environment and extend their assignments. If you stay after 13 weeks you’ll be rewarded with a pay rise to £10.20 per hour and be eligible to join our pension scheme.
Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and telephone manner; Customer Service experience from a call centre or contact centre, or from a customer focussed retail environment, reception role or other work experience that involves lots of telephone work and customer contact.
You’ll enjoy working in a fast paced environment and respond well to feedback to continuously improve your professionalism.
It is essential that you have strong keyboard skills and familiarity with basic Microsoft packages including Word and Excel
- Recent experience working in customer service, a call centre or in depth face to face customer service environment such as retail or banking
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
- Flexibility to work different shift arrangements where necessary
- Availability on Saturdays each week and 4 other week-days on all shifts to work 35 hours per week, on a full time basis.
- Computer literate with good keyboard skills
