Our client is a content discovery platform who specialise in marketing by driving web traffic to massive brands such as McDonalds, Reiss and Fox News to name but a few. They operate from offices in 11 global territories and partner with publishers and marketers in over 55 countries.
The European finance team is responsible for the financial management of the Group across 5 core countries (UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain). As the Junior Billing Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the maintenance of revenue account ledgers and timeliness of billing during the monthly close process.
Your role will report directly into the Revenue & Billing Analyst. The team is made up of individuals who are resourceful, bright, and proactive, and who work well both independently and as part of a fast-growing team. You will be a detail oriented individual, with the ability to drive positive changes in a rapidly growing digital organisation.
Learn the systems required for your role including Netsuite and Zuora (ERP) and Salesforce (CRM). You will begin to understand the current monthly billing cycle and the importance of your role at month end.
You will be an expert in completing the billing cycle timely during month end and working closely with the sales organisation and our collections team in resolving customer queries to ensure invoices are settled, including the issuance of credit notes. You will be able to confidently reconcile revenue related account ledgers for submission to the Corporate team based in NYC.
You will successfully close several months, making additional contributions to the efficiency of the existing processes. You will have an in depth understanding of our customer base and local billing requirements for customers based in each of our core European countries. You will analyse and report on key metrics as related to customers and participate in system upgrades and testing as related to billing.
What you'll need to be successful:
• 1+ year of billing experience
• Strong communication skills
• Forensic attention to detail
• Highly organised and self-motivated
• Proactive attitude – ability to take initiative to get things done
• Proficient Microsoft Excel and IT skills
• Be motivated with an eye for process improvement
• Experience of working with advertising, marketing, or media agencies would be preferable
• Pan European experience would be preferable (for example, understanding VAT treatment to UK and non UK customers).
