An exciting opportunity to work within Public Sector based in Plymouth, Britain's Ocean City. You will work within a great modern office, located on the beautiful waterside with marina views, along with a subsidised refectory.
You would be a qualified and experienced Senior Projects & Contracts Manager, looking for your next interim position. You will provide client support to the Plymouth City Council lead, for a major public realm enhancement project in Plymouth City Centre. You would have demonstrable experience of working with public sector clients, along with experience of working on City Centre and/or public realm schemes to a successful conclusion.
This role is for approximately 10 months, you will be required to work 2.5 days a week initially, then going down to 1.5 days until the end of the project. Salary for this opportunity is in the region of £350 per day depending on skills and experience.
We are seeking an interim with the relevant experience, to undertake the following tasks:
- Governance - support to the project lead on overall direction and control, project delivery strategy, PCC reporting, internal communications, budget oversight, programme oversight, programme interface with other PCC projects, compliance with Heads of Terms/ Development Agreement, point of contact for Project Team during the project brief and design stages.
- Project identification and brief - to lead on behalf of PCC the preparation of the project brief and requirements, in collaboration with PCC stakeholders, including for the following matters: Highways, Taxis, Street Lighting, Christmas / Feature Lighting, CCTV, WiFi, Trees / Ecology, Drainage Strategy, Wayfinding, Telephone Boxes, Waste / Recycling, Public Art, Events / Commercialisation, Security, Third Party Advertising, Others as required. To support PCC Department liaison and management and lead the Approval of Change Control.
- Design - to support the project team through design development with PCC, Highways, Landscape, Civil & Structural, Services, STATS Coordination/ quotes.
- Cost - to support the PCC project lead in budget ownership and cost management.
