Plymouth City Council currently have an opportunities for Family Support Workers to join their Children, Young People and Families service in Plymouth.
As a Family Support Worker, your primary role would be to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and families. You will deliver high quality family support, assessment and interventions for the most challenging and vulnerable families in Plymouth. Along with contributing to Plymouth's Early Help and Family Support Agenda ensuring risk reduction and prevention of the need for statutory intervention.
You will have experience of working with children and families in the community or a similar setting. As well as having experience of formally documenting contacts and observations that you encounter within your work. Ideally you will also have experience of working within statutory guidelines and procedures.
You would hold English at Grade C or equivalent and be numerate with the ability to provide budgeting support. You would also require a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in either Childcare, Family or Youth Work.
This temporary position is on an ongoing basis with an immediate start. The rate of pay is £14.02 per hour and is and based on a 37 hour week.
