Service Desk Manager – ITIL – Essex, up to £32.5k, flexi working

Service Desk Manager with strong ITIL knowledge required by dynamic public sector partner organisation. 

In this exciting Service Desk Manager role you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a ICT Service Desk Team of 5, ensuring that all incidents and service requests are handled in line with agreed processes and procedures aligning to ITIL best practice. You will ensure your team meet defined Service Level Agreements by assessing priority through impact and urgency and will be the first point of escalation for customers for failed SLA's. The challenges in this role will be to manage the workload with the resources available, driving improvements in processes and upskilling individual team members. 

This role will also see you coach, mentor and develop your team to ensure they meet targets. You will champion the use of the Service Management tool to ensure efficient and effective use of all resources and will ensure that the team works effectively with all key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring communications and updates are accurate and timely.

To be considered you will be a Service Desk Manager or Team Lead with strong skills in incident management, service request, problem management and people management. You must have experience of working in an ITIL environment and will ideally have a minimum ITIL foundation qualification. You will have experience of driving teams to meet SLA's and you must also have excellent written and verbal communications skills and will be able to work well with stakeholders at all levels.
