Network Health & Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full time in referral and assessment, within a Children, Young People & Family Team based in Plymouth. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children services and must have a minimum of 2 years experience and a minimum of 1 year's statutory experience. You will need to have court experience including report writing. You will need to have a HCPC registration.
We are currently looking for:
1 x PRAS Team - (Referral & Assessment)
The Children Young People and Families Service work with children in need and their families where the threshold is met for social work intervention. The service manages risk by working with children subject to child protection plans where it is evidenced that the child may be at risk of or has suffered significant harm. This does at times require difficult decisions to be made about whether a child can remain living with their parents and the service does initiate legal work working with the child through the court process.
The service offers the opportunity for social workers to work with children and families in difficult and challenging situations where evidenced based assessment and social work skills are critical to assessing the needs of children and their families. We do all of this while holding the child central and working with our partners in education, CAMHS and others to achieve the best possible outcome for the child.
The starting pay rate for this locum social worker position is £31 per hour and is an initial 3 month contract with the possibility to be extended.

" Degree or equivalent in Social Work
" Current HCPC registration
