Network Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker for the Child Protection and Court Team to be based within Children Services in Buckinghamshire. This is a full time permanent position and there are currently vacancies available in Amersham, High Wycombe and Aylesbury.
Children Services in Buckinghamshire are on a journey to delivering outstanding services. Children and their families are at the centre of everything Buckinghamshire CC do. Building on the Strengthening Families model adopted for Child Protection conferences in 2016, Buckinghamshire want to apply the latest skills and knowledge to achieve the best outcomes possible for the children they seek to protect and support.
In conjunction with the University of Sheffield, Buckinghamshire are keen to incorporate the key principles of the "Strengthening Families, Enhancing Futures" to services in Buckinghamshire to enhance and recognise what they already do.
Buckinghamshire has three Child Protection and Court Teams with one based in Amersham, High Wycombe and Aylesbury. There are currently opportunities available in all locations and you can choose which location you would prefer to work in.
The work involved in this vacancy is varied and involves managing all aspects of Child Protection and Court proceedings. Duties will involve but are not limited to:
Working with children who have Child Protection Plans in place
Working with looked after children and permanency planning
Managing Child Protection care proceedings
Writing reports and assessments
Managing complex cases and care plans
Safeguarding Children under the Child Protection or Court Frameworks
Undertaking Section 47's and risk assessments
Chair Group conferences
Mentor and supervise students
Act as an allocated worker for Children
In order to be considered for this position, candidates must hold a degree in Social Work, have a valid HCPC registration, have previous experience working within Children in Need/Child Protection Team, have court work experience, be able to work well under pressure, have excellent knowledge of relevant child legislation and have excellent communication skills.
