We are working in partnership with a large, successful secondary school in the Manchester LA, as they are looking for a teacher of Science to start ASAP.
Our school is based in South Manchester and caters for a wide demograph of students for various cultural backgrounds; these differences are reflected and celebrated throughout the school and there is a vibrant, lively feel to every class. Teachers are encouraged to embrace the diversity on offer.
This post is open to Newly Qualified Teachers of Science, as well as more experienced teachers looking for a long-term supply cover until July 2017. A specialism of Physics would be most advantageous for this post; however, the school will consider outstanding teachers of another science discipline.
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
- Relevant degree achieved at a good/excellent standard
- Display excellent subject knowledge of Key Stage 3 and 4 Science
- Recognisable results in improving outcomes of students in your care
- UK Qualified Teacher Status
- Achieved by a PGCE in Secondary Education or other recognised route (GTP, SCITT, B.Ed, etc)
- A passion to make a difference
- Patience to overcome barriers to learning
