Graduate Teaching Assistants
The Education Network is currently supporting a number of client schools with the introduction of Graduate Teaching Assistants who are able to work within the school for the remainder of this academic year, and also on a day to day basis.
Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant
Pay: Typical earnings of £60-£65 per day (£300 - £325 per week)
Our client Secondary schools wish to appoint a number of Graduate Teaching Assistants in order to support departments such as Maths, English, Science and Psychology, helping to bolster results and alleviate pressure from the classroom teachers this academic year; In return the schools will offer complete support to the successful candidate.
You will ideally be an aspiring teacher who is flexible and willing to learn.
Whilst working within our client schools you will also have access to free online CPD courses via Educare. .
Your typical day will consist of:
1:1 Tuition with students that require extra support in their subject
Leading small group intervention sessions leading up to key examinations
Taking responsibility for revision sessions and lunch time learning clubs
Providing general cover to other areas within school as well as your specialist subject
Involvement in departmental planning and marking
Our schools are located in Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Manchester, Trafford and Stockport and can easily be accessed via the M61, M66 and M60 motorways. Public transport links are easily accessible via the surrounding areas.
