Infrastructure Development Team leader
Pertemps Scotland has an exciting an unique opportunity with a local authority in the Central Belt for an individual with experience of transport, infrastructure and sustainability development.
This is a Team Leaders role and provides a perfect opportunity to make a significant contribution on the leadership and expansion of the Transport Development Team in their aim of delivering an effective and reliable implementation of policies and projects associated with local transport and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate for this role will -
-Have the ability to implement transport infrastructure that supports local development and projects.
-Have a working knowledge of this sector and applicable legislation.
-Have a thorough understanding of strategic transport planning.
-Have work experience in a similar role.
-Previous managerial or supervisory experience.
-Be educated to degree level in a relevant subject.
-Chartered membership of a relevant organisation and/or postgraduate qualification is desirable.
Duties will include -
-To manage an allocated team within the Infrastructure Delivery Service.
-Plan, lead, manage and review the Transport Development work plans.
-Prioritise work, review team performance, motivate and develop staff.
-Manage the variety of projects being undertaken by the team.
-The identification and securing of external funding.
-Maintenance and improvement management of public access paths.
-Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external Partners, Suppliers and Contractors.
-To prepare reports for relevant committees.
-To adhere to all Compliance and Health and Safety legislation.
-Responsibility for project and team budgets and spend.
