Based in Paisley Town Centre
Around 3 - 4 months temporary.

Pertemp's client, one of Renfrewshire's largest Public Sector organisations, seeks to recruit a Customer Service orientated individual to join their Environmental team as a Recycling Engagement Officer.

The successful individual will support the Environmental team through a period of significant service change and act as an Ambassador between the public and business in order to educate, support and influence the outcomes and successes of a key residential waste and recycling project.

The successful candidate can expect to spend a significant time out in the community, getting to know the views and feedback of the local community. The candidate will engage with all members of the community in order to explain the reasons for change and obtain buy in so that the change is successfully implemented.

Duties will include:

" Engage with the general public by attending events, roadshows and community meetings in order to promote and optimise the success of the new waste and recycling services.
" Liaise with schools, businesses, community groups and local council groups to deliver information and seek ongoing feedback regarding the project.
" Work in partnership with the Customer Contact Centre to support a consistent response to service enquiries, complaints and queries. This will involve using high levels Customer Service skills, coupled with excellent negotiation, influencing and time management skills, in order to bring matters to a mutually satisfactory resolution and within SLAs.
" Seek to resolve practical challenges by problem solving and thinking outside the box to ensure maximum public participation.
" Discuss issues and concern with non-participants face to face in order to understand and overcome any potential barriers to success.

The successful candidate should:

" Have excellent customer service and engagement skills
" Be confident presenting detailed information to a variety of audiences and be able to deliver content clearly and concisely.
" Show resilience and tenacity in order to achieve targets and outcomes, despite conflict and/or challenge.
" Possess excellent PC skills, in particular using MS office packages.
" Show a flexible approach to work and be willing to go the extra mile to get the job done.
" Show excellent problem solving and skills and use initiative to take ownership of more complex queries.
