Location: Aberdeen
Salary: £42,500 DOE
Permanent Role
Hours: 8am-5pm (flexibility may be required)

Pertemps Dundee are currently recruiting on behalf of our national client for an experienced Site Manager, to take overall management responsibility of staff warehouse and transport operations. The ideal candidate will plan, co-ordinate, supervise staff, ensure service levels, quality, health safety and statutory requirements are met. The ideal candidate will also have strong management experience preferably with a transport/warehouse background.

Key duties involve:

  • Overall management responsibility of warehouse and transport operations
  • Operating within budgetary targets and report upon the work activities of the team
  • Provide effective communication, leadership, motivation, training and development
  • Implement and manage resource planning across the site
  • Lead and develop the Site team
  • Implement business initiatives driving value for the Customers and the business
  • Ensure effective communication processes are established and maintained for both internal/external customers
  • Managing the team in a fair and consistent manner and in line with the business Diversity & Respect at Work Policy
  • Ensure compliance across the business, maintaining inhouse and statutory obligations regarding legislation, licencing and Health & Safety

The ideal candidate will have had previous experience the following:
  • Management experience and/or experience working in transport/warehouse
  • Previous experience as a Transport/Warehouse Manager
  • Unionised operations management experience
  • Budget management and cost controls
  • Strong people management and performance management
  • Strong Health and Safety background

Knowledge & Skills:
  • Must have International CPC e.g. OCR Level 3 CPC-Transport Manager/ Freight Management
  • Successful candidates must be able to provide 5 years referencing history
  • Diploma/Certificate in Logistics is desirable
  • Knowledge of regulations
  • Knowledge of people management and ability to balance conflicting priorities
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
