Pertemps are recruiting for a Local Offer & Early Help SEN Development Officer within a local council in the Special Educational Needs and Development Team, based in Swindon on a temporary basis. Paid at £11.47 per hour, working Monday to Friday for 37 hours per week with the benefit of free town centre parking.

Since 2014, there has been a legal requirement for Local Authorities in partnership with parents, carers, children and young people and other agencies, to publish, in one place, a Local Offer setting out what is available for children and young people aged 0-25 years with Special Educational Needs or disabilities across education, health and social care.

As a Local Offer & Early Help SEN Development Officer you will primarily be monitoring and developing the Local Offer including Early Help as a commissioning tool, to carry out direct work to review the content of the Local Offer in line with statutory requirements.

As a Local Offer & Early Help SEN Development Officer your Responsibilities will be:
" To work across education, health and social care departments to promote and facilitate the use of the Local Offer and the incorporated Early Help Services as a commissioning tool
" To co-ordinate the collection and monitoring of content in line with statutory requirements and services available within the local area
" Working with providers of information, advice and support services to ensure that consistent and accessible information is provided

The Successful candidate for the role of Local Offer & Early Help SEN Development Officer will:
" Have a level 3 qualification - A-levels, level 3 BTEC or NVQ - Any subject matter
" Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven ability to distil, translate and communicate complex information accurately
" Demonstrable evidence of working regularly with a wide range of stakeholders, in particular communities and local people
