ICT Technician - Wakefield Are you passionate about ICT? Have excellent diagnostic, analytical and problem solving skills? Have experience of maintaining Windows based networks? The Education Network is looking to recruit an ICT Technician to join an established team within a secondary school in the Wakefield area. The role is full time during term time to start immediately until end of the academic year. You will be required provide support to its trust primary schools and to travel regularly between sites. You will be to be responsible for the maintenance and development of all the ICT equipment and the provision of technical advice and support for the ICT curriculum related activities together with in-house development and support for teaching and learning. The school is keen to hear from candidates with experience in; Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012; Apple Mac OSX 10.8-10.11 & Associated Mac software; Active Directory / Exchange 2010 & 2013 / SQL Server; SIMS; Office 2013/Office2015; SQL Server You will be required to travel regularly between neighbouring primary sites, providing support. The post holder will: - Have proven knowledge and experience of working with information systems, their implementation; - Work independently and on own initiative, using his/her discretion on all but the most major problems. - Prioritise unpredictable and conflicting problems using his/her own judgement, working to tight deadlines and targets. - Possess good communication and liaison skills when dealing with a variety of people. - Be physically fit, as a degree of high effort lifting is required. - Be able to use a computer keyboard with precision and speed. - Be able to work well in a team environment.
