An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Client Relationship Manager to join my client in Chester. The business operate within the payroll industry and offer their clients a range of services including umbrella, limited and self-employed solutions - therefore they are looking for someone who has experience and a strong knowledge of the industry. The role is mostly focused on account management where you will nurture and grow current accounts. However there is also a focus on a new business through networking and actively pursuing new leads. On offer is a basic salary of £30,000 plus commission where earnings can exceed £40,000. Hours of work are Monday to Friday during core office hours.

The main duties of a Client Relationship Manager are to;

  • Maintain and grow existing relationships within your network to ensure maximum business growth
  • Generate and develop new business with lapsed client accounts or cold clients
  • Maintaining regular contact with clients through meetings, calls and email
  • Provide excellent service and support to your clients
  • Work closely with the larger team to ensure all clients are receiving a world class service
  • Understand the industry the company operate in and monitor competitor activity
  • Assist the Business Development Manager(s) at industry events and seminars
  • Booking and attending client meetings - on average two days per week would be spent on booked client meetings
  • Be creative and have an understanding of what separates the company from their competitors
To be considered for this position you must;
  • Have experience within the industry (umbrella, limited, self-employed)
  • Have a strong sales and service background
  • Ability to develop and strengthen client relationships
  • Be self-motivated with a high degree of self-awareness and confidence
  • Have strong rapport building and negotiation skills
  • Be open, honest, professional and sales driven
