Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing services business in Rubery. We are looking for someone who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for payroll.

The main duties of the role are to:

- Ensure accurate and on time delivery of monthly payrolls across multiple companies
- Maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data
- Compute employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits, and taxes
- Answer staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records via calls and email
- Adhere to payroll policies and procedures and comply with relevant law
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records
- Honour confidentiality of employees' pay records
- Complete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review
- Statutory calculations such as SMP, SSP, SAP, SHPL
- Process and file multiple pension schemes in line with Auto Enrolment legislation

Person experience :

- A minimum of 2 years payroll experience
- manual calculation on SSP
- Basic understanding of payroll processing and statutory payments
- Experience of using time and attendance systems
- Good communication skills and the ability to empathise with others
- Motivated, a problem solver and determined
- Track record of hitting deadlines and providing robust and accurate information
- A good team player
- Competent with Excel and familiar with payroll software
- 2 years previous experiece
- Good attention to detail
- Data Entry experience
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise effectively
