Teacher of English
** Teacher of English
** September 2017
** Outer London Pay Scale
** Outstanding School
** Qualified Teacher Status is Essential
We are working with an outstanding school in Croydon which is recognised as being one of the top non-selective secondary schools in the country. The school is consistently oversubscribed and has received four ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted and four ‘Outstanding’ Diocesan reports. They are seeking to employ a qualified teacher of English to join them from September 2017.
We seek to appoint a dynamic and well qualified Teacher of English to join this high achieving school. Applications are considered from both experienced and newly qualified teachers. Candidates should be able to teach across the age and ability range to A-level and to provide evidence of successful teaching strategies and excellent organisational skills.
This school is very proud of its history of academic achievement; this is due to hard work, focus and dedication to Coloma’s ethos shown by pupils and staff alike. In 2016 the school achieved remarkable exam results with a 93% 5 A*- C Pass Rate at GCSE and 100% at A-Level.
The school is Associate School of the Royal Society and a Specialist Science College; “we value excellent relationships within a caring community. Extra-curricular activities play a huge part in the life and success of the school and pastoral systems are strong”. In recent years the school has been involved in community and outreach work partly through its specialisms in music and science.
