Position: Learning Support Assistant
Location: West London
Salary: £90-£100 a day
Start date: April & September
 
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a school in West London. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to assist students with various special educational needs in accessing the curriculum and making progress in their learning.
 
Key responsibilities include:

• Providing one-to-one support to students with additional needs, including those with physical disabilities, learning difficulties, or behavioural challenges
• Assisting the class teacher in adapting resources and activities to meet the individual needs of students.
• Supporting students with personal care, mobility, and communication as necessary
• Monitoring student progress and behaviour and providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Collaborating with other professionals, such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and counsellors, to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.

 
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs, as well as a passion for making a difference in the lives of students. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A relevant qualification in special education or a related field is desirable but not essential. Training and development opportunities will be provided for the right candidate.
