JOB TITLE:                              Wills Clerk

EXP REQUIRED:                     2 years

LOCATION:                             Solihull, West Midlands 

SALARY:                                 £18,000-£20,000

 

THE ROLE:

Due to growth within the department, our client is looking for an experienced Wills Clerk to undertake the following duties;

  • To take will instructions and prepare all wills other than HNW and personal recommendations


  • To handle own caseload


  • Assisting  other private client fee earners when required


  • May be required to assist in the City Centre office from time to time


  • Attending clients out of the office


 

THE CANDIDATE:

To be the successful Wills Clerk;

  • You must have demonstrably good training during previous career, both practical and theoretical and have;


  • Experience of handling own caseload for a minimum of two years with minimal supervision


  • Experience of drafting simple and complex wills


  • Some exposure to LPA’s  and court of protection


  • Experience of working with Microsoft Word and Outlook. Capable of self typing.


  • Some experience of or interest in business development


  • Drafting skills, professional education


  • Excellent file management and the ability to meet financial targets


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


  • Ability to build relationships with existing and potential new clients


  • Be personable and presentable
