As a Quality Manager your role will be to develop quality and launch processes to ensure world class productivity and competitiveness can be achieved within a brand new production facility.

Reporting to the Quality Director, you will have responsibility for managing all internal and external quality issues leading up to project launch of a new vehicle.
Responsible for the development and management of robust quality control plans for the body assembly area, standardise inspection process and co-ordinating issue management and problem solving for the Body Shop relating to Complex Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Warranty Control, Internal Audits, Metrology and Calibration.
Overseeing the quality plans for the body production area you will ensure business targets are met and support overall on time project delivery.
Develop robust KPIs that support a continuous improvement culture.
To succeed in this challenging new role you will have considerable management experience gained in vehicle BIW/ body construction and assembly with a sound understanding of different materials and joining practices.
Previously worked with a Tier 1 supplier or automotive OEM.
Ideally you will be degree or HNC/HND qualified and you must have attained significant management experience within an automotive quality environment.
Sound understanding of lean manufacturing principals and quality systems ( PFMEA, SOP, problem investigation, waste elimination, kaizen )
Proven management background leading technical teams and of launching new vehicles or products into production.
