This is a fabulous opportunity for an Engineering Change Manager to work for an innovative Automotive OEM business that have huge growth plans in the coming years. Work will take place at their manufacturing facility based near Coventry in Warwickshire.

The role
The Engineering Change Manager will play a key role in creating, maintaining and controlling change of the bill of material, ensuring that all changes conform to scope, time, cost and quality objectives and that agreed benefits / drawbacks are identified, evaluated, approved, rejected or deferred.

Role responsibilities

" To ensure that engineering changes to The Company vehicles, are introduced using a timely, structured and systematic approach; managing an unproblematic uniform process to provide an always accurate bill of materials (BoM)
" Engineering change activities to support the addition or deletion of old, new or modified parts
" Assist in the development of engineering change strategies for the business
" Develop strategies and provide processes to promote standardisation of engineering governance between company, design engineering, external suppliers and the parent company.
" Improve all related processes for efficient delivery of engineering change solutions whilst maintaining quality and minimising risk
" Lead and develop the engineering change control team
" Identify and build associations with design engineering, external suppliers and the parent company .to develop efficient engineering change coordination
" Create change plans
" Management of stakeholder engagement
" Team responsibility for an Engineer Change Controller
" Prioritisation of engineering change requests

The person

" Minimum 5 years' experience in automotive as an Engineering Change Manager, Bill of Materials Manager or a Change Engineer (who is looking to move into a management role) with a manufacturing, OEM or tier 1 or 2 supplier (preferably in a low volume environment)
" Good understanding of how engineering change principles and how processes work
" Must be a good communicator and able to build sustainable relationships internally and externally with multi-disciplinary teams
" Have strong verbal communication, written and listening capabilities
" Can persuade, negotiate and challenge and influence others
" Have excellent organisational, analytical, attention to detail and decision making capabilities
" Self-motivated, results orientated and team player
" Strong project management capabilities and ability to work to deadlines
" Ability to understand continuous improvement and work within this environment
" Must have good general computing skills including Excel, Work, PowerPoint and Outlook
" Educated to HNC/D in Engineering or equivalent industry experience
" Must have a full car driving license

This position will offer a salary of £50,000-£60,000 plus benefits.
