We are currently recruiting for a Merchandiser to join a busy and vibrant Purchasing and Merchandising Department.
In this role you will be dealing with suppliers from all over the world as well as ensuring adequate stock levels are ordered to eliminate 'out-of-stocks' and meet on time, full deliveries to service customer requirements.

The Key duties of the role will include:
-Produce monthly and ad hoc quantities for order placements using forecast and demand data from our internal systems and databases
-Prevent/ reduce back orders by placing purchase orders in a timely manner and communication our demand needs to suppliers
-To work with customers to ensure their needs are being met and the companies full performance is maintained to a high level.
-Seek solutions to problematic deliveries
-Pro-actively chasing suppliers for improved delivery dates and work to bring down lead times to -improve on forecast accuracy
-Monitor weak and strong sellers and suggest lines to be discontinued
-Manage with the buyer the suppliers to ensure they improve on their performance and do not jeopardise stock.
-Seek out and action any potential stock issues with contingency plans so not to affect stock
-Management of expediting special orders
-Proposing quarterly promotions list along with the expeditor to recognise any overstocks and possibilities of rectifying this
-Work with the Buyer/ Senior Buyer to present on a monthly basis on an overview to the Merchandising Director of Sales, year on year supplier performance etc.
-To ensure stock levels are compatible with achieving at least three stock turns by the end of the financial year

Essential requirements:
-Strong Excel, Word and Outlook skills
-Ability to organise own workload and meet demanding deadlines and targets
-Excellent written and oral communication skills (to include strong influencing skills)
-Ability to work under pressure
-Strives for continuous improvement
-Excellent interpersonal skills
