My prestigious client based in Coleshill, a specialist supplier of materials used in the aerospace industry, are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Administrator on a full time permanent basis to join their developing team. As a member of the Purchasing Team this role oversees the control of all internal documents relating to supplier discrepancies, quality approval and products information. These systems may be paper based or electronics and require a high degree of competence in ensuring that documents are filed and indexed correctly. The role involves a good understanding of the Quality Management System and its operation.

Main Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate document filing and retrieval systems

Develop best practice for document storage and retrieval

Oversee all document filing, storage and retrieval

Ensure good policy for document management

Manage the Docushare system

Oversee MSDS and TDS scanning activity and document creation

Create New Product Codes following requests

Maintain the Safety and Technical Data Sheet Library

Administer the Docushare system

Assist in ERP database maintenance

Liaise with suppliers and outside companies to obtain current versions of required documents

Provide cover for Supplier discrepancies of incoming Goods role


Improve efficiency

Ensure the document libraries are kept up to date

Improve internal administration

Provide a well organised document management system

Deliver documents to other departments and customers as required

Maintains Supplier Quality Questionnaires
