The Role:
Due to massive expansion and financial success an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Logistics Manager. The role will take full responsibility for the commercial success of logistics across the UK. The main aim of the role is to deliver a seamless, high quality 'order to delivery to pay' experience for a large portfolio of customers. In addition, close liaison with Commercial and Operational managers is critical, to ensure the optimisation of production scheduling and management of stocks.
Daily liaison responsibilities will include:
o Sales - ensure customer priorities are understood and serviced appropriately. Direct any expected lateness to lower priority customers
o Production
o Transport - ensure availability of fleet
o General - escalation of performance issue/s to respective area management team member with agreement of corrective actions

This role will have a large part to play in the upcoming planned CRM system migration.

The Person:
You will be working in logistics presently in a senior manager position, as you will need to be used to dealing with complex issues and developments. You will have a solid appreciation of transport specific safety and compliance. You will be a motivated and enthusiastic individual who's primary motivation is the 'customer experience'. You will be used to managing multi-disciplinary teams and the complexities within this. You will also be used to dealing with reports at manager level, understanding their motivators and developing them to the gain of the business. You will need to have an analytical mind to appraise processes and improve them to ensure the competitive edge. You will be looking to advance you career and progress within a growing organisation, be able to demonstrate excellent sales and leadership skills, as well as being an excellent communicator with an analytical approach to work.
Ideally you will have field sales experience, successful line management experience, have the ability to work accurately at a detailed level, good IT (SAP) skills, be competent in Excel based reporting and possess strong general business awareness.
