Our client who is based within the environmental regulator sector, have a temporary role for a Planning officer. This is a 5 month role based in North Lanarkshire.
A Disclosure Scotland Certificate dated within the last 12 months is required.
The rate of pay will be £14.70, and the hours of work are Mon - Fri, 9.30am to 5pm.
To co-ordinate the planning development and control consultations and to assist in the development to Development Plan consultations.
Main duties and responsibilities:
To co-ordinate response to development control and similar consultations (principally those of medium and high environmental priority), liaising appropriately with internal consultees and preparing and issuing formal responses.
To assist in the management of the consultation process and attendant records and database.
To provide support to the Planning Officers in the development of response to Development Plan, SEA and EIA consultations.
To liaise proactively with planning authorities to promote the interests and to maintain and develop a partnership-based approach to the interaction with the planning system.
To provide support to input to some Planning Inquiries and Appeals, preparing supporting documentation, as appropriate.
Knowledge of Current Legislation

Able to work individually as well as part of a team
Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
