Location: Slough

Salary: 35,000 - 45,000 car allowance, bonus and excellent benefits package

Our client is a world leading FMCG company who deliver innovative solutions and products globally. This is an exciting opportunity to join their growing organization as a Demand Planner.

As a Demand Planner you will be responsible for effectively managing product changes, maximising forecasting accuracy on all products within portfolio and driving improvements. You will have full accountability for a number of products and will successfully plan the supply coming from both external sources and factories for the UK market, ensuring Customer Service targets are met whilst minimizing inventory.

Candidates should have previous Demand Planner experience, ideally 4-6 years worth and this will preferably have come from within an FMCG environment. Key Responsibilities:

In close co-operation with the Commercial teams, create, monitor and revise forecasts for a portfolio of products ensuring accuracy measures are met and continuously improved

Maximise customer service level for a portfolio of products via effective liaison with factories and monitoring of daily forecast

Analyse trends and promotional volumes to make adjustments and recommendations where necessary

Monitor and manage in transit stock and safety stock requirements. Effectively manage inventory

Provide ad hoc analysis and work with sales and marketing teams to ensure optimum decision making and reaction to potential issues

Challenge sales teams where appropriate to ensure best supply and financial forecast

Where appropriate deliver improvements in supply efficiencies

Challenge the status quo' with the suppliers

Professional Skills and Competencies

Graduate with supply chain or production planning experience within an FMCG environment

Exceptional ability to manage workload and identify priority tasks to meet tight deadlines

Strong influencing / communication skills

Advanced Excel skills and ability to consolidate complex information, interpret and construct straight forward plans

Able to apply appropriate problem solving techniques to evaluate and resolve operational issues

Knowledge of supply systems such as ERP, MRP or DRP
