A Local Authority are looking for a Transport and Depot Manager to manage the day to day operations relating to special needs transport for vunerable children and adults. To hold the Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) which is essential to the Authority's heavy goods vehicle Operating Licence. Duties will include maintaining all appropriate records, fleet lists, maintenance records etc and undertaking periodic checks to ensure compliance. Management of corporate buildings ensuring facilities services are delivered efficiently (e.g building and grounds maintenance, cleaning and security arrangements, waste disposal). To work in close relation with the Authority's Insurance Section and Health & Safety Teams ensuring that vehicles and buildings are maintained/repaired as effectively as possible, this will include accident investigation/reports and insurance claims.
