My client is one of the prestigious car makers in the UK, with iconic brands in it's portfolio. This role is based in the state of the art manufacturing plant at Cowley, Oxford. They have a requirement for an experienced International Mobility HR Advisor for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity leave. They are looking for someone to join the team quickly.

My client is looking for someone to join the team who has expert knowledge in workforce mobilisation as you will be working with people who are relocating either into the UK or overseas to other Group locations. You will be able to demonstrate expert knowledge of Employment Law, Entitlement to Work Regulations in multiple locations and VISA requirements, have a good knowledge of Tax implications.

In addition to the worker you will be supporting their dependents so be able to assist and advise on travel, accommodation, schools and medical provisions as the individual cases require.

You will need to:

Provide an efficient and excellent service to international short and long term assignees and an international mobility/optimised workforce to the Group.

Implement, steer, influence and coordinate all international HR related Processes and Policies within all UK Plants.

Coordinate the relocation of short term assignees, expatriates and their families.

Advise and support international short and long term assignees to ensure an excellent service to all assignees whilst on assignment and to facilitate successful integration into the host country or reintegration back into the home country.

Support the implementation of Global Assignment concepts and projects.

Interface regularly with local HR and international business partners to develop strong working relationships and wide business understanding and to ensure consultation with and governance from central functions.

Prepare relevant international assignment documents i.e. contracts and letters

Provide stakeholders with appropriate reports regarding assignee data as requested.

Facilitate performance management processes, e.g. Portfolio process and grading actions internationally

Work with and review suppliers for Relocation, Removal and Tax services.

Calculate, monitor and instruct the payroll department of Individuals' net salaries, allowances and expenses.

Understand and operate within Employment Law legislation and best practice internally and externally.

Apply for Certificates of Sponsorship and visas to ensure that all short term assignees and inbound expats have the eligibility to work in the UK.

Ensures efficient and effective use of the HR IT Systems e.g. SAP.

Operate in line with the Global Assignments service level agreement.

Qualifications and Experience

CIPD or equivalent

Knowledge of / experience of working with Employment Legislation / Tax legislation

Proven interpersonal and communication skills at all levels (very proactive) and across different cultures

Experience of working cross functionally and or internally

Ability to network

Organisational skills

Excellent knowledge of UK compensation and benefit schemes

Highly self motivated

English language skills written and spoken

Prioritisation / organisation skills

If you are able to converse professionally in German this would be very useful, but not essential.
