Are you an experienced Analyst looking for a new opportunity based in Central London?

This is a great opportunity to work for an exciting Engineering Consultancy firm. Situated in the London HQ this is a great opportunity to gain some experience within a well recognized global business.

The successful candidate will be directly responsible for the following duties:

Responsibility for the Consulting business finance operation comprising Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals, Financial service benchmarking and Outsourcing with 13m turnover

Writing up of the board reporting highlighting risks and opportunities in the business and Gap analysis/pipeline reporting

Formulating financial targets and budgets in accordance with the strategy determined by the business

Financial modelling to support the reporting and accurate forecasting of contract income, commissions and operating costs

Business partnering with commercial teams and shared services

Internal control proactively identifying and challenging areas for improvement

Operational responsibility for all areas of finance including billing, account payable and credit control

Supported the MD with financial planning and commercial analysis for the consulting division

Responsible for ensuring sales order booked on sales force were supported by signed contracts

Provided a breakdown and profitability analysis of sales achieved by client globally for year to date and year on year analysis

Improved the quality of data submitted by the implementation of a project pipeline report

Identified areas of sales growth rates and profitable and loss-making projects giving guidance to consultants when costing of new bids

Conducted revenue trending analysis for all divisions

Responsible for completion of monthly KPI pack presented to the group FD used in his monthly review with the CEO

Calculated month end journals and performed profit and loss analysis reporting under IFRS

Compiled month end profit and loss packs including variance analysis to budget and forecast

Implemented an automated direct cost margin calculator to project profitability

Executed billable v non-billable analysis ensuring costs were charged back in accordance of the contracts

Embedded automated excel links to these reports into the month end power point slide decks and provided explanations for variances to forecast, budget and year on year

Provided variance analysis of costs per expense type then analysed departmentally

Cost divided into number of permanent and temporary staff within that department in that month and reported to the FC

Reviewed appropriateness of the depreciation rate of the IT asset register, ensuring that it reflected the depletion of value of the asset of over an accurate estimate of its economic life

Supported the accounts manager with completion of monthly KPI pack presented to CFO used in his monthly review with the CEO

Submitted outline implementation plan and gap claim to payroll department for un-reconciled payroll items due to redundancy or FIFO time delays

Calculated month end journals and performed profit and loss analysis according to AASB
