This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join an expanding company for 1 year as maternity cover.
Help ensure that reporting is completed on time and to a high standard.
Ensure accurate reporting of Group Net Finance Costs.
Group currency balance sheet and Net Investment Hedge monitoring
Ensure accurate accounting and control of accounting records.
Produce IFRS and UK GAAP statutory financial accounts.
Liaise with internal and external audit.
Provide expert financial instrument accounting advice to Group companies.
To prepare the quarterly pension journal for the UK based on instructions from the Finance Manager - Technical.
To assist the Finance Manager - Technical with Group disclosures of pensions.
To prepare quarterly IFRS2 forecast.
To prepare the Group disclosure of share schemes.
Provide accounting support to Group treasury.
Support Group tax on financial instrument accounting issues.
Degree educated with professional qualification (ACCA and ACA) Minimum experience in marketing planning functions
Minimum experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment.
Experience of accounting for financial instruments, particularly as governed by IAS 32, IAS 39, IFRS7 and IAS 21 (and UK GAAP equivalents) demonstrated with practical experience
The ability to quickly understand accounting for shared based payment and pensions, particularly as governed by IAS 19 and IFRS 2
Understanding of treasury risks and the management of those risks through financial instruments.
Communications skills for dealing with overseas-based operating company accountants , as well as with Treasurers and Dealers.
Understanding of SAP, in particular the Treasury module, and specialist software Reval'.
Ability to simplify complex situations and synthesise, communicate and present complex information
Detailed schedules are kept in Excel: ability to maintain,change and improve them.
