My client is a leading branding and marketing organisation, who is currently looking for an Assistant Management Accountant.
You will be based in their West London head office. Working closely with the Financial Reporting Manager, assisting them in a number of month end tasks which will ultimately result in the production of the month end reporting packs. The role will be a varied one with exposure to revenue and cost. Initially the role will provide support to the Financial Reporting Manager but progressing to owning specific items on the profit and loss and Balance Sheet.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Supporting the Financial Reporting Manager in the completion of accurate month end reporting. This currently entails performing the following tasks:
Monthly Sales invoice upload from HUB to Maconomy
Pulling together month end income check post revenue meetings for follow up by Client Accountants
Month end Client WIP (3rd party costs) process
Management of monthly hosting matrix
Preparation of accruals for relevant overhead lines
Maintenance of the monthly prepayments schedule
Maintenance of the company Fixed Asset register
Posting of all relevant journals in respect of the above
Monthly and Quarterly Reporting Packs:
Assisting the Financial Reporting Manager in the preparation of the monthly / quarterly reporting packs. This will involve populating revenue by client, full profit and loss and BS information as
well as some high level analysis
Assisting the Financial Reporting Manager in the preparation of the monthly pack which is distributed to the Leadership team
Preparation of monthly department packs in advance of their monthly meetings
Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations post month end reporting submission and proactive resolution of outstanding amounts
Other Ad hoc:
Weekly review of timesheet completion and follow up with any outstanding time
Preparation of weekly billing report showing progress against accrued income
Preparation of monthly staff entertainment spend by department for distribution to the department heads
Supporting Financial Reporting Manager in the preparation of annual PSA returns, P11ds, Tax packs etc.
Specific skills and experience:
A minimum of two years' experience within a Finance function.
The candidate will ideally be studying for a qualification with a relevant accounting body e.g. ACCA/CIMA, although this is not essential
They must be systems literate and have good excel skills
A desire to achieve high quality standards with strong attention to detail and methodical approach to problem solving
Enthusiastic and proactive in order to get issues resolved and able to see things through to the end
Strong organisation skills and good time management. The role will require a degree of managing your own time and structuring your day / week accordingly
